Makalidurga

Makalidurga trek is located in the town of Makali about 60 km north of Bangalore. Makalidurga Fort remains at the head of a large granite hillock, clustered up in the chains of slopes. There’s a well marked trail that takes you to the top. The trail is moderate to hard. There’s a mix of rocky terrain, Green forest and Mud pathways. At the top we find ruins of an ancient fort. The scenery around is Stunning and makes for a very rewarding adventure. This trek needs to be booked in advance with the forest department before going.
