Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,337m)
Airport pick-up and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Yatra Preparation
Experience the beauty of Kathmandu Valley, including the iconic Shri Pashupatinath Temple and the sleeping Vishnu temple Budhanilkantha. Return to hotel for lunch. After lunch journey preparation and program briefing.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Timure (1,900m)
Enjoy a scenic drive to Timure (127 km, approx. 7 hours), passing through the beautiful Nuwakot Valley and Uttarkashi. Enter the lush landscapes of Langtang National Park and continue through Dhunche, the district capital of Rasuwa. The journey continues passes through Syabrubesi, the gateway of Langtang Himalayan Trekking, before reaching Timure (Nepal–China Border). Lunch enroute and dinner at the hotel.

Day 04: Timure to Kerung (3000m)
Border clearance and drive to Kerung (24km, 1 hour). Take a short walk to cross the Nepal-China friendship bridge. After completing immigration formalities, enter the Xizang province of Republic of China. Further; drive about 1 hour (24 km) to reach Kerung City, nestled at the foot of pine-covered hills.

Day 05: Kerung to Saga (4,610m)
Morning drive to Saga (240Km, 5Hours). Along the way, witness the unique nomadic Tibetan lifestyle and the dramatic high-altitude landscapes. Drive passes through the Kerung water fall, the beautiful tunnel crossing the Himalayan Peak and a tranquil Pigu-Tso. Continue onward to cross the sacred Brahmaputra River before entering SAGA city known as “Happy Land” in the Tibetan language, located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River.

Day 06: Acclimatization Day at Saga
Explore the Saga city, rest and prepare for further higher altitude journey to Mansarovar

Day 07: Saga to Sacred Lake Mansarovar (4,560m)
Drive to Sacred Lake Mansarovar (478Km – 9hrs). Divine Darshana of the Sacred Lake Mansarovar and do a parikrama by vehicle. Darshana of Southern Face (Guru Mukh) of Mt. Kailash, Gurlaman-Daata peak which is adjacent to the lake, Hor-Chu Gompa, Thu-Gu Gompa, Chiu–Gompa and Ravan Lake also called Rakshes Tal; during the Parikrama of Mansarovar Lake.

Day 08: Lake Mansarovar to Darchen (4,670m)
The morning is free for spiritual activities. Have a divine darshan of Mansarovar Lake and Mount Kailash at dawn with Sunrise view over the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Perform Puja and Vedic Rituals for a deeper spiritual connection. After breakfast, drive to Darchen (40 km, 1-2 hours), the base for the Kailash Parvat. Check into the hotel for rest and prepare for the holy Mt. Kailash Parikrama.

Day 09: Darchen to Driaphuk (4,860m)
Drive to Yam-Dwar (20 minutes), the starting point of the Kailash Parikrama. Begin your trek to Diraphuk (12/13 km, 6 to 7 hours). Along the way, divine darshan of the west face of Mount Kailash and follow the river originating from the northern feet of the Mount Kailash. Upon reaching Diraphuk, take in the stunning views of Kailash Purna-Lingam, Nag (Vasuki) Sworupa and Diraphuk Gompa.

Day 10: Driaphuk to Zhuthulphuk (4,760m)
Trek to Zhuthulphuk, covering 22 km in 9-10 hours, while crossing Dolma-La (5670m), the highest elevation of this Yatra. Along the way, Darshana of sacred sites of Shivasthali, Ganesh Kund, Ganesh Parvat and Gauri Kund, the sacred abode of Mata Parvati also regards as the navel of the Earth. As you descend, witness the stunning east face of Mount Kailash, which is revered as a Shree-Yantram, symbolizing divine energy and cosmic significance.

Day 11: Zhuthulphuk to Saga
Trek for approximately 3 hours to complete the Kailash Parikrama. Upon reaching the end point of the Parikrama, you will be received by your vehicle and drive about 20 minutes to Darchen and further drive 7-8 hours to Saga.

Day 12: Saga to Kathmandu via Kerung Border
Drive to Kerung border (3 hours). After clearing immigration, drive to Kathmandu via Timure (5-6 hours)

Day 13: Departure: Conclude your spiritual journey. Depart for your further destination.

So far, the additional expenses out of the package cost for Kailash is hiring a personal horse and porter. Recently, the Tibetan authorities have implemented a rule for individuals who hire a personal horse for the 3-day Kailash Parikrama should also hire a personal porter. Advise manage Yuan 5000/ per person as additional expenses.

  1. Documents REQUIRED:
  • Must have Passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validity from the departure date.
  • To be sent 30 days before the departure date: COLOUR CLEAR Scanned copy of passport front page (photo page), last page (address page) and COLOUR CLEAR scanned Most Recent Passport sized photo with white background.
  • Maximum age up to 70 years according date of year in Passport.
  • Must have a VALID VOTERS ID

 

  1. Booking and Payments:
  • A deposit of at least 25% of the total package cost must be paid at least 45 days before the departure or should be paid at the day of booking confirmation. Payments can be made be made by Telex or Bank Transfer to our company’s account in Nepal.
  • The remaining balance should be made no later than 10 days prior to the departure date of the Yatra.

 

  1. Risk and Liabilities:

Akka Adventures & Leisure and ALL its associates are committed to providing an enjoyable and smooth journey. However, travel in Tibet is governed by the regulations of China and the Tibet Tourism Bureau. We are not liable for itinerary changes due to unavoidable circumstances, such as government restrictions, COVID-19/pandemic protocols, natural events (landslides, floods, snow), road blockages, flight cancellations/delays, or issues with permits/visas, illness, or accidents. Any additional costs incurred under these conditions must be borne by the pilgrims.

 

  1. Fitness:

This is a tour and it will be different than a trek or a climbing expedition. No specific level of fitness is required to board on this tour. However, people suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult their doctor prior to embarking on this trip as it involved high altitudes. We highly recommend our Yatris to perform regular light exercise such as walking, jogging, breathing and stretching prior to the tour to make it comfortable and pleasant.

 

  1. Food and Beverage:

We will serve pure vegetarian, continental & Indian meals; Breakfast and Dinner is served in hotels by our experienced Kitchen team. Packed lunches will be provided at the time of Kailash Parikrama.

 

  1. Clothing and Accessories:

As the temperature greatly varies between day and night (from max. 16 degrees Celsius to min. –10 degrees Celsius) one should be prepared accordingly.

      We highly recommend our Yatris to pack the followings for their travel;

Woolen gloves, Winter cap/ beanies, Sun-hat, Thermal wear, Woolen socks, Towel, Light Jacket, Water bottle, Sunglasses, Sun cream, Torch with extra batteries/bulbs, Power-bank charger, Muffler, Mask, Raincoat, Sweater, Shirt/T-shirts & Trekking shoes.

A down jacket will be provided to Yatris by the company which will need be returned back after the tour.

 

  1. Insurance:

We highly advise our Yatris to purchase a Comprehensive Travel Insurance with a coverage for Emergency Medical Evacuation if in case of emergency.

 

  1. Cancellation:

All notice of cancellation must be sent to our office via email or in writing. Verbal cancellation will not be applicable for any refunds.

Following cancellation charges is to be paid in case of any cancellation;

    • 25% of the package cost: If cancellation made 30 days prior to tour departure date or once the travel permit has been issued.
    • 50% of the package cost: If cancellation made within 15 days prior of tour departure date.
    • 75% of the package cost: If cancellation made within 7 days prior of tour departure date.
    • 100% of the package cost: If no show.
