Harihara Betta

Harihara Betta Trek is situated right off the Bangalore-Hyderabad highway and is located in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka. It’s a short easy hike to the top. It starts with a rough road till about 25% of the trek where we reach a temple. Then after a careful diversion behind the temple, there’s a path through boulders and trees that will lead you to the top. Very easy to get lost here unless you are accompanied by an experienced guide. We reach an opening after about 1.5km where one can rest and explore old fort ruins. If we walk to the other side here, we can see the Adiyogi statue at Isha foundation, which is just about 5km away. One can go further up. The path beyond is unexplored and very risky.
