Brahmatal
Brahmatal trek is one of the best winter treks in India. It’s not only known for its enormous beauty but it also has a connection with mythology (which is believed to be the meditation site of Lord Brahma). It is situated at an altitude of 7000 ft approximately above the sea level, in Uttarakhand, Garhwal region.
Throughout the trail you find the spectacular views of the Himalayas and some peaks like Mt. Trishul, Mt. Nadaghunti, Mt. Chowkhamba, Mt. Hathi, Peaks Nilkanth etc. This trek takes one through beautiful valleys, streams and through the jungle where you walk by rhododendron trees, Cedar, Fir and many other flora and fauna. This trail gives you views and experiences like nowhere else!
ITINERARY 5N/6D Ex – Rishikesh
Reach Rishikesh before 6am on Day 1 or reach the day before and stay overnight at Rishikesh and be ready to be picked up the next day.
Day 1: Rishikesh to Lohajung 7800ft (315 km, 10 Hours)
Pick up from Rishikesh. Drive to Lohajung. After arrival on Lohajung our representative will meet you here and will assist for check in at Guest House/Lodge. Rest of the day at leisure at Village. Dinner & Overnight at Guest House/Lodge.
Day 2: Lohajung to Gujurani (9800ft, 8 Km, 5 Hours)
After a hot breakfast, we move towards our first base campsite Bekal tal. We try to cover 8km in 4-5 hours through Rhododendron forests. At Begum, we take a short break. This place provides awesome views of Navali Bugyal and Bagdi Bugyal. We then proceed to Gujurani. Pitch our camp here and serve a hot lunch. The snow and the views make you about your fatigue. Dinner & overnight stay in camp.
Day 3: Gujurani to Brahmtal (10400ft, 7 Km, 8 Hours)
We break camp early & start the trek towards Brahmatal (3400m), the place where Lord Brahma is said to have meditated long ago. This forest is home to Monal, the state bird of Uttrakhand. Views of peaks like Trishul, Bithartoli & Nandaghunti will keep your cameras busy today. The Brahmatal is small in size & is difficult to locate from a distance especially in winters when it’s completely frozen. We will find a camping spot by the lake & set up camps for the night. It can be very cold here in the months of winters but our camps & sleeping bags will keep us warm during the night.
Day 4: Brahmtal to Brahmtal Top return Brahmtal (12300ft, 7 Km, 6 Hours)
Today will be a comparatively easy day. We will carry a daypack & leave your backpacks in the camps as we will be returning to the same camp in the evening. We trek to the Brahmtal Top (3846 m). We look out for magnificent views of Himalayan ranges on our right. Two of the most prominent peaks are Mt. Trishul, Nandaghunti which look extremely close and breathtaking. Return to the camp
Day 5: Brahmtal to Lohajung (12 Km, 5 hr)
This day marks the end of the magnificent trek. After enjoying the best views and the snow laden trail, we trek towards Lohajung by taking short cut from Jhandi top. This day could be used to rest as well as to explore the small town and hear the mythological stories by the locals and immerse in their culture. Stay in the guest house.
Day 6: Departure from Lohajung towards Rishikesh
In the morning board vehicle for the return journey to Kathgodam carrying sweet memories of this beautiful trek. Overnight at Rishikesh. Arrangements to be made by traveler. End of journey. Return journey towards home.

- Mules or porter to carry personal luggage of team. If anyone not able to carry his luggage, charges are extra Rs. 400/- per bag/day.
