Netravathi
The Netravathi peak trek is one of the most raw, adventurous, rewarding and scenic treks in the western ghats. Best done in the monsoons to get the true real experience. We trek through Lush green forests, water falls and cross several tiny streams on the way. The first half of the trek is an easy walk but the second half is hard and will test ones fitness and commitment to reach the peak. A constant incline and decline over 3 hillocks takes us to the final spot. We carry along a packed lunch which we can enjoy at the peak if the rains and winds permit. One can enjoy the clouds floating all around you. The green peaks all around are a treat for the eyes and soul. The trek has to be booked well in advance with the forest department and most of the time its booked, so plan accordingly.
